ACTIVITIES AT KLEINBSOCH LODGE

After a beautiful country ride on horseback, relax at the lodge's swimming pool sipping a gin and tonic and watching the breathtaking red sky as the African sun slips away. Kleinbosch Lodge is about relaxation and offers a library of reading materials, satellite TV, country rides and true South-African hospitality.

If you've ever dreamed of watching whales breach in the cool waters of the Atlantic ocean, or following the most popular wine-tasting routes the Cape has to offer, then Kleinbosch Lodge is the perfect location for your getaway, being only 15 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the historic town's centre and only 40 minutes to the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Several Hiking trails within the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve tempt the hiker: they range from an easy 5,3 km scenic walk to the challenging 17.1 km Panorama Trail and the 18 km Swartboskloof Trail. Visit Granny's Forest at Helderberg Farm for easy walking - they also offer various other trails and an overnight hut.

The full-day Vineyard Hiking Trail is best enjoyed in autumn or spring; it's 24 km long that starts on the slopes of the Papegaaiberg, above the Oude Libertas Centre and meanders through the forest plantations, vineyards, olive groves and coastal renosterveld.

Awaken to a full English breakfast, served either in our breakfast room or under umbrellas on the patio, or even try our exquisite Bavarian breakfast....

On request we can serve dinner (prepared by award-winning chef) or light a fire and prepare a braai fit for a king.
